"Paper Turtle" receives award

Vancouver, Canada - Feb. 2011

Jonathan Stutzman's short film PAPER TURTLE continues its strong film festival circuit, being accepted into the 2011 Canada International Film Festival. Not only was the film accepted, but it received the "Rising Star in Filmmaking" award, for its excellence in production and screenwriting. Paper Turtle will show April 2nd and 3rd at the festival, which is located in Vancouver, Canada.

The Columbia Gorge International Festival this past weekend was a busy and rewarding festival for Paper Turtle. On the banks of the Columbia River, in Vancourver, Washington, Paper Turtle was shown to a full crowd in the main screening room and received a big ovation. On Saturday August 21st, the short film was awarded Best Narrative Short (10-20 minutes) of the festival, and was screened again with the other winning films on Sunday.

Festival News

"Paper Turtle" continues a strong showing in the film festival circuit with another Official selection, its 5th so far (and second International fest), this time in the mid-south in Tennessee. The film was selected into the Southern Appalachian International Film Festival which runs in late October.

on August 27th, at the Promethius Film Festival (York, PA)... "Paper Turtle" has been selected to be one of the Featured short films for Opening Night at the festival. The film will be shown in Block 2 of the festival, which starts at 9pm ET.

"Paper Turtle" was accepted into the Promethius Film Festival, it will be showing the 27th & 28th as a part of the York Arts Fest.

Film Festival update

Summer 2010

With production complete, "Paper Turtle" will now be hitting the film festival circuit. So far, the short film has shown at the Diamond Screen festival in Philadelphia, Pa, where it garnered a nomination for Best Graduate Picture. Also, the film has been selected officially to be shown at the Washougal International Film Festival in Washougal, Washington. The festival dates are August 18th-22nd, 2010.
